This is simple but solves many cases.
- Open Settings.
- Select Bluetooth & Devices.

If it still doesn’t work, continue below.

Driver corruption is the number one cause.
- Press Windows + X and open Device Manager.
- Expand Bluetooth.
- Right-click your Intel, Realtek, or Qualcomm adapter.
- Select Uninstall Device.
- Restart your PC.
- Windows should automatically install fresh drivers.
If it doesn’t, download the latest Bluetooth driver from your laptop brand’s website.
Enable Bluetooth Support Service
If this service stops, Bluetooth disappears.
- Press Windows + R.
- Type services.msc.
- Find Bluetooth Support Service.
- Set Startup type to Automatic.
- Click Start.
- Check Bluetooth again.
Turn Off Power Management for Bluetooth
Windows tries to save battery but can end up disabling Bluetooth.
- Open Device Manager.
- Expand Bluetooth.
- Right-click your Bluetooth adapter.
- Select Properties.
- Open the Power Management tab.
- Uncheck “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.”
Fix the Windows Airplane Mode Bug
Windows 10 and Windows 11 can still experience this glitch.
- Open Settings.
- Select Network & Internet.
- Disable Airplane Mode.
- Restart your PC.
- Try reconnecting your devices.
Remove Hidden Old Drivers (Advanced Fix)
Old drivers can conflict with newer drivers.
- Open Device Manager.
- Click View.
- Select Show Hidden Devices.
- Expand Bluetooth.
- Uninstall all greyed-out Bluetooth devices.
- Restart your PC.
Check the BIOS or UEFI Bluetooth Toggle
Some newer HP, Lenovo, and Dell laptops let you disable Bluetooth from the BIOS.
- Restart your computer.
- Press F2, F10, or Delete to enter the BIOS.
- Open the Wireless settings.
- Make sure Bluetooth is enabled.
Bluetooth Driver Missing on Windows 11
A Bluetooth driver missing error is one of the most common causes of Bluetooth not working on Windows 11.
Signs include:
- Bluetooth option missing from Settings.
- Bluetooth icon disappeared.
- Device Manager shows unknown devices.
- Bluetooth devices fail to connect.
To fix a missing Bluetooth driver:
- Visit your PC manufacturer's website.
- Download the latest Bluetooth driver.
- Install the driver.
- Restart your computer.
For best results, avoid third-party driver updater software and use official manufacturer drivers.

Bluetooth Disappeared from Device Manager
If Bluetooth disappeared from Device Manager, Windows may no longer detect the Bluetooth adapter correctly.
Common causes include:
- Corrupted Bluetooth drivers.
- Recent Windows updates.
- Disabled Bluetooth hardware.
- BIOS settings changes.
To check:
- Open Device Manager.
- Click View and select Show Hidden Devices.
- Expand Bluetooth.
- Look for greyed-out Bluetooth adapters.
If the adapter is missing entirely, reinstall the Bluetooth driver from your computer manufacturer's website.
Many users searching for “Bluetooth disappeared from Device Manager” can restore Bluetooth functionality by reinstalling the correct driver and restarting Windows.
Bluetooth Not Finding Devices
If Bluetooth is enabled but not finding devices, the problem may not be your computer.
- Make sure the device is in pairing mode.
- Remove old Bluetooth pairings.
- Restart both devices.
- Move the device closer to the computer.
- Temporarily disable nearby Bluetooth devices.
Many Bluetooth not finding devices issues are caused by pairing conflicts rather than hardware failure.
Bluetooth Keeps Disconnecting
If Bluetooth keeps disconnecting, the issue is often related to power management or wireless interference.
Common causes include:
- Windows power-saving settings.
- Outdated Bluetooth drivers.
- Weak Bluetooth signal.
- USB 3.0 interference.
Try:
- Disabling Bluetooth power management.
- Updating Bluetooth drivers.
- Keeping devices within range.
- Removing unused Bluetooth pairings.
Users experiencing Bluetooth keeps disconnecting issues can often resolve the problem without replacing hardware.
